Mocha
Gone to her Forever Home in CA where she is being trained as a Service/Medical Alert Dog
Mocha is the firstborn girl in this litter. She's a lovely brown girl, about in the middle of the pack weight wise.
Mocha is our most vocal pup - vivacious and a real charmer, who seems to have a great sense of humor. She is very quick to learn and was the first to learn to pee on the pee pad!
Mocha's Aptitude Testing results are now available: Mocha is a higher energy puppy with enormous curiosity about her environment. She is very interested in learning new things and explores her environment carefully. In the retrieving test, she immediately retrieved the object and brought it right back to the tester! Only a few puppies in our trails over all of our litters have brought it back to the tester. We also did an extra test where an object was thrown over a barrier. Without hesitation, she jumped over the barrier to get it. She also easily scented a turkey feather and picked it up. Mocha would likely excel in agility and would love a home where she has many adventures such as hiking or backpacking, and traveling. She showed a high level of intelligent response to a strange object. She showed the highest level of food motivation and was able to easily find food hidden under a cup. She will be easily trainable with both treats and her natural high level of curiosity and interest in learning as motivators. She shows a high degree of focus and wants to learn about each object she sees. She was able to accept being restrained by our tester and showed a forgiving nature. Mocha is expected to do very well with training opportunities and would likely enjoy learning tricks. Mocha will need a lot of exercise and would like to be matched to an active person or family who wants a dog who can keep up with them and enjoy adventures together.
Mocha nursed well from day one and has required no supplements. Her mothers milk is provided her with perfect nutrition and immunity to diseases. She now eats solid food, but is still nursing too.
We completed Early Neurological stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) on Day 16. You can see a photo in the gallery of Mocha sniffing mint and a chicken feather. She showed the most interest in both as compared to her siblings. Other scents she has particularly enjoyed are ginger, lemon, chamomile, and moss.
Stay tuned for many more photos and the results of Mocha's upcoming Conformation testing.
